With a strong foundation in classical culinary training and extensive real-world kitchen experience, Libby completed her apprenticeship in Adelaide before beginning her professional career at the iconic Universal Wine Bar. She later moved to London, where she worked at respected restaurants including Kensington Place, developing her skills within the modern British food scene and refining her approach to seasonal, restaurant-quality cooking.
On returning to Australia, Libby built an impressive career in Melbourne, working in hatted restaurants such as The Courthouse Hotel and Carringbush Dining Room, as well as the well-known South Melbourne gastropub O’Connell’s. She then expanded her expertise into culinary education, teaching commercial cookery at Melbourne Polytechnic, while also working extensively as a private chef for families, intimate dinner parties, social events, and bespoke catering experiences.
Now based in Adelaide, Libby brings this depth of international and Australian experience into her cooking classes, sharing practical skills, professional techniques, and a genuine passion for teaching others how to cook with confidence.
