While music, art and fashion are a drawcard for wider interests served up with plenty of creativity in many cellar doors alongside the region’s stylish whites the food served beside the region’s refreshing whites also is becoming increasingly exotic.

Burgers, barbecues and the Mediterranean flavours remain popular, and now one of the Hills’ top gastronomic destinations is having more influence on regional tastes too.

Stirling’s Sticky Rice Cooking School, which specialises in offering ethnic cuisine cooking classes, is hosting one of the Crush Festival’s several special events, a double-header of professional chef cooking tutorials and banquet on Saturday, January 28, each with separate Middle Eastern and Thai-Vietnamese themes.

Sticky Rice chef Yukiko Anschutz, formerly of Hyatt’s Shiki restaurant, will guide the Asian session, which is matched with wine partner Lobethal Road, among more than 40 wineries opening their doors for the main Crush festival program the next day. Read More at  Adelaidenow.com.au...
