Electrolux is proud to continue its partnership with Sticky Rice Cooking School, a specialist in Asian cuisine and cooking techniques, located in Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Sticky Rice Cooking School was established by Claire Fuller in 2008. Since opening, the unique culinary experience offered by Sticky Rice has received notable accolade including Gold Medal for the 2011 South Australian Tourism Awards, 2013 TQUAL accredited Tourism Business and 2013 winners of the SA Architecture Awards.
Sticky Rice has recently opened three luxury villas on the premises. Guests can choose from the tropically inspired “Bali”, the stylish monochromatic “Zen” or the clean lines of the Japanese inspired “Yoko”. Each villa is individually styled and architecturally designed for seamless indoor and outdoor living. Floor to ceiling glass surrounds each villa allowing views and easy access to the private enclosed courtyards and landscaped gardens.
Both the villas and the cooking school feature premium kitchen appliances by Electrolux, to provide guests and class participants with the very latest in cooking technology. Appliances include fridges, ovens, cook tops, dishwashers, microwaves, laundry items and coffee machines for each villa. The new outdoor Bali Hut cooking area features state of the art appliances including Electrolux integrated BBQs.
Guests at Sticky Rice can choose to prepare a home cooked meal in their private villa or take part in a group cooking class. During the hands-on classes, chefs share their expertise, as well as best-kept industry secrets; helping participants to create restaurant quality dishes in exotic cuisines such as Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Japanese, Indonesian and Malaysian.

What a fantastic experience. This was our first cooking class and we’re already planning our next cooking adventure with Sticky Rice. Yukio is an excellent instructor. The menu was well planned. We had a lot of fun and learned so much. Thank you Yukiko and Daniel for all your hard work.
It was a great experience, learning some trade secrets to great cooking. Met some lovely people, a totally enjoyable afternoon. Cannot wait to do the next one!!!

We did the Japanese Essentials. excellent chef guide in Yukiko. food was excellent quality and class was a lot of fun. Daniel was a delightful host. We stayed in the Bali villa which was beautiful and relaxing. Wonderful get away.
I’ve done five classes so far. Great time, great repeatable recipes. Japanese cooking class was amazing. Going to repeat entire menu for family this week.

Fabulous Middle Eastern Cooking class with Genevieve Harris. Wonderful day cooking a delicious menu of Hummus and flat bread, Chermoula chicken, Harissa marinated Prawns,with a beautiful eggplant and tomato salad, and bbq lamb skewers marinated in Hilbeh served with baby spinach, pomegranate seeds and yoghurt sauce.
Then deep fried almond pastries with honey and orange blossom syrup.
All served with lovely wines or fruit juice and water.
Fabulous day, heaps of fun and staying at the villas made the walk home very easy.
